Re: Vaccum cleaners that Suck
How long have you had it---Did you do a test like run your vaccum first then Run the Dyson over the same area?
SO no problems huh.....

Re: Vaccum cleaners that Suck
Dyson Animal is a good machine. We have had it a couple of years and it works as good as when it was new. Only issue I have noticed is the hose is starting to tear a little at the top. It amazes me what it picks up. I was just recently told by a carpet cleaner that all Dysons are the same as far as tech specs go & the price differences is based on what they come with. When we bought the animal it came with carpet cleaner and a powered head for stairs and upholstery. Not sure if they still do. We had a Kirby prior to the dyson and imo Dyson wins hands down.

Yeah, Dysons are good stuff. I bought one about 4 years a go. It's the DC14 model and it's been a workhorse. We had an issue the hose as well, but got it covered under extended warranty.

We have had it over a year. Yes, we did vacuum with our old Rainbow first and then with the Dyson. The Dyson still picked up a good amount of dirt and dog hair.
We have not had any problems thus far.

Re: Vaccum cleaners that Suck
I think i should try to pick up a new vacuum for my mom this holiday season. Reason being is she is still using her old electrolux vacuum from the late 80s, early 90s. So im guessing all the dyson owners are happy to be dyson owners?

Re: Vaccum cleaners that Suck
I really like my Hoover Mach 5....supposed to be built on Dyson technology, since their patent expired. Only paid $160 at Wally World, and it definitely sucks, in a good way!

Re: Vaccum cleaners that Suck
I have 2 Dysons, a DC15 and the handheld. They both kick ***. I've had the DC since this time last year. Got a killer deal on it at Lowes, picked it up for about $225. I vac'd my floor with my 2 month old hoover, then went over it with the Dyson and it picked up so much stuff, it was unbelievable.
