are you taking about a medium format camera with a digital back?
in either case I don't see how it's 35mm & digital
I am almost positive he's talking about a Digital SLR Camera that looks like a 35mm SLR Camera
So I was just making a joke
but if I am wrong please teach me

but if I am wrong please teach me | I know you were making a joke, and technically you are probably right.
But for clarification: most Digital SLR's have an image size that is smaller than the 35mm film frame. As such, they can use different lenses made JUST for digital SLR's. Those lenses make a smaller image circle, so they could NOT be used on a 35mm film camera.
There are also digital SLR's called "full frame", which simply means that they make an image close to the same size as 35mm film cameras. When you use 35mm film camera lenses on a digital slr that is not full frame, there is a magnification factor applied. for example a 100mm lens becomes a 150mm lens on a digital slr. But if the digital slr is "full frame", there is no increase in the effective length of the lens.
All I was saying is that it is possible to confuse "35mm" with "full frame" when referring to digital slr's.
A full frame dslr will cost about $4k for just the body. The new Nikon full frame dslr is $5k.

if you used the digital lens on 35mm camera
would it then be called a "fish eye lens"?

But you can't use a digital lens on a film camera because you would have vignetting on the edges of the image since the digital lens will not make a large enough image to cover the 35mm film.
