Anyone else watch the cooking TV shows?

I have been obsessed with them lately. Well not all of them but on Food TV I have the DVR set to record Boy Meets Grill with Bobby Flay and on the Fine Living Channel there is a show called Cookin in Brooklyn that I love because its so not your typical cooking show.

Anyone else have favorites?

Yeah hahah he was entertaining. I used to like Ming too but he gets so boring.

Another good one is BBQ U thats on public TV and Fine Living. He is a little fruity and dry but his grilling techniques are fantastic.

I like Good Eats too because Alton is the shiznit but sometimes I just think man he over complicates things. It took the man 30 mins to make French toast for cripes sake.

Good looking food but I want to kill her.

Another food related show I always try to catch is No Reservations with Anthony Bordain.

Re: Anyone else watch the cooking TV shows?

I enjoy watching Mario Batali, Emril, Bobby Flay (although he can be real arrogant at times–but he knows what he is doing) Alton Brown (the best show out of the bunch of new shows that they produced at the time) Jacques Pepin, Charlie Trotter, Wolfgang Puck, Ming Tsai, Lydia Bastianich (I call her my Italian grandmother I wish I had, ha!) I also enjoyed watching reruns of The Galloping Gourmet.

There's probably some that I'm missing, but that's what comes to mind at the moment.

I'll spare you my thoughts on Rachel Ray. On one hand, if she is helping in some way, get better meals on the table at dinner time...then great, I'll leave it at that.

Re: Anyone else watch the cooking TV shows?

I watch these all the time. Boy meets grill is my fav, but I also watch the rest of them. Don't like Barefoot Contessa at all for some reason. I like the Itailan lady Giada (I know I butchered that name). No Reservations is cool and Bizarre Foods is gross but I can't stop watching it. lol Paula Dean has some good stuff and good for you too. lol

Re: Anyone else watch the cooking TV shows?

I like Everyday Italian, Rachel Ray, and Semi Homemade....not sure I watch them though for the food! Just something about hot women who can also cook a meal! I also watch Paula, just because she is a dirty old woman when she cooks, hah.

Re: Anyone else watch the cooking TV shows?

I like some of the contest type of cooking shows. "Throwdown" with Bobby Flay is pretty fun. He finds someone who's famous for making a particular food item like ice cream or hot dogs or pizza or chili then he challenges them to a cookoff making that particular item.
