Billy Mays...that boy gets around doesnt he? I hate that his lil infomercial ads come on late at night before I stumble to bed...He's a pretty high energy guy.

Do they make an optional 6" pad for it?

Yep, no need for clay or polishes any longer! That polisher will fit into the pocket so you could have two and work on a couple of scratches at a time. Hard to believe they'll let them put this junk on tv.

All the posts on this thread disparage this product, but has anyone got actual experience using it, and if not, what do you think is wrong with it?

I'm too cheap to buy it...

Re: Simoniz fix it! Truly a miracle product

Why are you guys knocking Simonize? Do you guys think they make junk? After all they are a major manufacturer and offer a dealer applied sealant with a 5 year warranty.

For minor work I'd bet it does a pretty good job

Re: Simoniz fix it! Truly a miracle product

Wow, this product is just as big of a joke as the Wax Wizard being sold at the LA autoshow.
Perhaps this is the magic product car dealership uses to buff their cars.

Re: Simoniz fix it! Truly a miracle product

Let's see, I have a black Tahoe, swirled and scratched, and I just spent all day compounding with a rotary with 3M extra cut, polishing with IP and finishing with UltrafinaSE and to think I could have "fixed it" with ol Billy's fillers and electric tooth brush (the Julia Roberts edition) and for under 30 bucks! Sorry, I so friggin depressed now I can't go on........thanks Billy.

Naw, dealers use wool to wash and buff their cars.................steel wool.

I think this buffer may come in handy for little things (hood jambs?) otherwise its another worthless "personal" tool.
