My tarantula shed for the first time in 4 years. PICS!!!!

She hadn't molted so long I though she was full grown.

When I saw her on her back with her legs spread out the other day, I knew she was fixin' to molt but this is the first time I've actually seen it happen. I usually get home and she's already out of her old skin.

Anyway, she just kind of slowly pushes her old skin off. Takes about an hour.

Forgot to remove the screen at the top of her cage in the first few pics...

Her old skin-

And my Albino Corn Snake, Pullo, staring up at me like he always does.

Whoa cool, I didn't know they made a whole new skin. If you hadn't said anything, I would've thought you had two different tarantulas in that cage. I like the blue color molted skin better than the tan color though.

Awesome. I never got to see one molt either. I always missed it!

Awesome job on catching it Scott!

I had no idea they molted.

I know they're pets....but who would win between the two? I suppose the spider.

No way I could take the idea of a spider for a pet though. Been bitten twice...pretty much all spiders I see are dead shortly thereafter.
