Re: Hey Dave KG! How was the holiday?

It was a very very good holiday - I would say the best holiday I've had in years, but its also the only holiday I've had in years (since 1998 actually)... Seriously though, was a very enjoyable trip... went to Washington DC for a weekend (need to go back there, so much to see), Philadelphia, and a few places around PA including Dorney Park (I like theme parks ). I also helped my girlfriend's dad build a new shed while I was over too, I like getting stuck into projects like that, and so does Diane which is great! Diane also took me to a car show in PA... she knows me well!

Have to say, I got a bit of a shock on arrival at the sheer size... That may well sound silly, but I'm used to the east neuk of Fife In Scotland, building are rarely more than two or three stories high anf the villages are small but the houses are also small and quite closely packed, espeically the little costal towns such as St Monans, Crail and Pittemweem which is where I'm used too... In America, the villages were really spread out - houses a long way apart, and in cities everything was so tall! Quickly adjusted though. And I revelled in the sun and the heat after the naff summer we've had over here... 10 days of sun, and >30degC temperatures was great!

I'll post some piccies shortly...

Cool Re: Hey Dave KG! How was the holiday?

And you were on the side of the country where everything is close together. Wait till you get out west.

Glad you had fun! Looking forward to seeing the pix.
