When it first came out I was the same way, I thought man AvP?? that has got to suck, but I caught it on TV a couple of times and its actually not that bad. There are some parts that irk me in it, like the they taught us how to build pyramids nonsense, but the action is pretty good. And you got to love the predator weaponry
Looks like they'll be introducing some kind of whip in this new one!
You have to create the right atmosphere to watch the first Alien movie. Big screen, big 5.1 sound, quiet house and lights off
But you're right didn't age as well as Terminator or Blade Runner. Second one rocked, have you seen the extended version? Some nice extra scenes of the Alien ship and Newt's parents in the beginning if you do. In the third one I couldn't get over the whole distorted perspective thing, I think it was supposed to be from the view point of the Alien but it messed up the action, but the ending was great. The fourth one should never have been filmed
On the other hand both Predator movies were good, on second thoughts the first was just awesome
