Chicago natives, I need your help

I'll be in Chicago next week and I'll have some time go visit downtown on Monday night with some co-workers. I plan on taking the Metra into downtown but I was curious if there is any night life near Union Station within walking distance or are there near by areas withing reasonable taxi distance?

I haven't been there in over 10 years so I don't remember anything.

night life exist through out downtown chicago..hop in a cab and your good togo..

most people in downtown chicago take a cab..parking is way to expensive

Everyone is correct in mentioning Rush/Division. However, to hit some bars/clubs, you may need to hit Ontario (e.g. Excalibur) and there are some on the North side.

The area around Union Station is mostly Office/Residential and you would be hard pressed to find a club there. However, restaurants are another story and you are within walking distance of the Sears Tower.

I also neglected to mention that the Clybourn Street District has a mixture of clubs and bars offering microbrews.
