Mr. Wizard 1917 - 2007

Rest in Peace

Mr. Wizard

You will be missed.

1917 - 2007

Don Herbert, who explained the wonderful world of science to millions of young baby boomers on television in the 1950s and '60s as "Mr. Wizard" and did the same for another generation of youngsters on the Nickelodeon cable TV channel in the 1980s, died Tuesday. He was 89.

Re: Mr. Wizard 1917 - 2007

That was a great show. As a kid, I never found any early morning (before 7 am) tv programming interesting (all adult stuff like news, church, etc.), but Mr. Wizard was one of those shows I'd actually watch before going to school.

Sad to hear that he has passed away. RIP Mr. Wizard

It's a sad day for science geeks of all ages.

RIP, science-guy.
