Stereo guys? Recommendation on a head unit?

Looking at price range of $2-$300 to spend.

Here's my needs:

-ipod capable
-superb sound quality
-the buttons to have some sort of a orange/redish color to it to match stock factory buttons
-of course the usual things

I don't know much about stereo out there, but I was looking at possibly an Alpine unit.

Anyone have recommendations?

I love my JVC KD-G320. All the button glow red, which matches my dash lights perfectly. Plays MP3, iPod charger and hookup (control from HU, I believe). I'll take a picture if you wish.

For good H/u's out there, you cant Beat Pioneers upper series. Check out the 7800 I think, they have the best sound controls too. Also, Eclipse may have orange buttons and they are really good h/u's too!

I'm really happy with my Pioneer HU and it was able to be properly hooked into my factory Bose system.
