I've been wondering the very same thing. He was here when I took a "leave of absence" last year in July, and when I came back a couple months ago, he was gone. He definitely had a very large presence here, so I am surprised to see him gone without a trace. I hope he is okay.

Bill and I had gotten to know each other fairly well, spoke on the phone and otherwise kept in touch off the boards. I haven't spoken with him since shortly before his last posts in November, and given those last conversations I wasn't all *that* surprised when he stopped posting here.
I don't want to be too specific about his personal business, but he just needed to reprioritize his life in a fairly significant way; there were other matters that required his time and attention. I can say with great certainty that it had nothing to do with Autopia or any of its members; it was strictly a personal matter related to other things. Out of respect for his privacy I've left him alone, and I'm confident that he's doing well.
