thinking of a 350Z...

i am selling my 05 TL and thinking of replacing it with a 350Z. i want a coupe...and winter driving will be handled by my winter beater.

a friend working for a local dealership offered the following deal:

04 350Z "Performance" model
38k miles
6spd
$196xx

they said they would add on Nissan Certified PreOwned for $175. that gives it a 12mon/12k mile bumper-to-bumper (since it is already out of warranty). powertrain warranty is something like 6yr/70k mile or maybe more...i forget that part.

i've looked around and think that is a decent deal. any of you Z owners care to chime in on this? things to look for or know before looking at a used Z?

thanks-

I don't own a Z, but from what I have seen with prices around here in my area, for the specs you gave - It sounds like a great deal!

350z + nice wheels = yummy car

I don't own one, but I want to I'm waiting for the revisions to trickle down from the upcoming Skyline before I seriously consider one though.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. What color is it? You can't go wrong w/ a Z, I love mine!

Re: thinking of a 350Z...

you should wait untill the new NISMO Z comes out. That thing is going to be monster quick, and you will probably be able to find lots of used Z's at even better prices once people start trading up.

The new Nismo Z has a hideous rear bumper, but aside from that it is awesome.

Re: thinking of a 350Z...

FYI: One thing to watch out for in the early Z models are tire feathering. It was a huge problem with my 03 and partially on the 04. Make sure and double check to make sure that the vehicle doesn't have that problem if you plan to purchase one.

I concur on this. This was one of the biggest issues with earlier 350Z models. Another issue to possibly look to see if it had the recent fuel filler hose recall.

I love my 350Z. Its and awesome car and very fun to modify. Good luck with it.
