How to study?
Exams are killin me fo shizzle. I have spanish I and Pre-Cal Trig. I am a little worried about both of them. I think I have spanish under control, but the math, I am very worried about. How do you school age dudes study for any exam? I feel that I am not that good about studying and probably arent that great about it.
Any tips on studying or anthing that has helped yall in the past?

Re: How to study?
Everyone is going to be different. Some learn by hearing, others by seeing, and others by doing.
I learn best by seeing examples first and then being able to apply them in practice.
For math, I always did best by doing as many different practice problems as possible.

Re: How to study?
yea, i have a stats final next week among others...definately not looking foward to it!
for me, the best way to study math is to first take some time and memorize any important formulas i need to know, then i just do a crapload of practice problems to really drill how to do them into my brain.
was never really good at math, but it seems to work ok for me...hope this helps! good luck on those exams!

Re: How to study?
Ha, you have a Spanish and pre-cal final? I have Lit, SOC, Chem 2 lab, chem 2, and Calculus 2 all next week.. Im worried about them, mostly because I never study which is why Ill probably be taking calc2 again this summer.. I find it best to study over a long period of time. Study some, then take a break, study, take a break.. Youve got to pace yourself.. I never remember anything if I try to stuff it all in at one time..

Re: How to study?
Find someone you are compatible with and join forces! Brain storm each other, talk the subject, in other words you ask questions, then they have a chance at you (asking questions).
This is based on the "Fact" that the easiest way to learn is to "TEACH", this is what you will be doing.
Pick your hardest subject and give it a go, as above for a month! You can buy me a beer after that, LOL! It works better than you can imagine!!!!!!

Re: How to study?
Math? Do practice problems, then do more problems, and more problems. Go over all your instructor's in-class examples as well, time and time again. Make sure you understand everything you're doing inside and out.
Then come back a couple of hours later... and make sure you know it EXTREMELY well. That's really the only way I've managed to study for math. I only really developed this after I got to college... once you get to Calc 1/2/3, you just can't "listen" in class and expect to get good grades on the tests! A lesson I learned the hard way... I hope I can spare you the "lesson" part, and just tell you right now

Re: How to study?
Something I forgot to tell you that is very important.
Get one of those little recorders that are about the size of a small cell phone. You can record a "HeLL" of a lot on them (look at Best Buy) they are absolutely awesome for recording class sessions, or whatever, like when you are talking to an X- Soul mate, talking to a lawyer, whatever! I keep mine in a little case that has a belt fixture for fast removing. Everyone thinks it's a cell phone, LOL.
It has saved my donkey several times and is actually invaluable as a classroom aid!
Give i'm a go and you will see.
Good luck, Changeling
