Re: Any Blackberry Users out there?

I will be upgrading to the Blackberry 'Thunder' I think they're calling it now. It's a touch screen similar to the iPhone. I currently have the 1st gen. Blackjack.

Re: Any Blackberry Users out there?

I've got the worldphone (8800 I think?). I like it. It's my first PDA style thing-a-ma-jiggy, but it works fine for me. I thought I would use the browser, but rarely do. mostly e-mail. I first bought the Pearl and returned it after 2 days. Everything was just way too small. I do like the looks of the new Bold. But I've got about 18 months left before I can upgrade again.
Oh-another reason I got rid of the Pearl - Vaja didn't make a case for it. Gotta have a Vaja case.

Re: Any Blackberry Users out there?

For my first PDA type phone, I just got the Centro from Sprint last week. Darn the keyboard is small, but I am getting used to it. It's just $99 with the 2 year plan and after $50 MIR. I also just signed up for the Sprint SERO plan. See more info here. I got the 1250 min plan for $50 a month and that includes unlimited data, pic/text messaging, ect. They also have a 500 min plan for $30.

I am going to call Verizon today or tomorrow and attempt to get out of my contract without an ETF due to the recent fees that verizon has changed on the bill. Send me a PM for ways to save $25 on your first bill if you are new to sprint.

Re: Any Blackberry Users out there?

I've had two blackberry's both but never found them to be very rugged, drop them once or twice and they would break. I switched to a Trio 6 months ago and the thing is a beast. I've dropped it 10-15 times and all it does is lightly scratch the plastic.

Get a full keyboard other than that it's all just extras that you might never use.

Re: Any Blackberry Users out there?

I keep mine in an Otterbox case/holster. It has 3 layers of protection from the clear membrance to protect the screen and prevent dust from getting into the keyboard to the plastic shell and finally the rubber skin that goes over the plastic shell.

We've Got Technology Covered // OtterBox.com

Here is a review of the case where you can see how it goes together.

OtterBOX 1933 BlackBerry 8800 Series Level II Case | CrackBerry.com

I spent months looking at every smartphone out there and to me the main advantage the Blackberry has over other smartphones is the wide variety of software that is available for it. There are packages out there for just about anything imaginable. The phone can be configured to suit just about any need.

Re: Any Blackberry Users out there?

well it's not durable thats for sure, she's had it maybe 6 months and the plastic is broken in a couple places. and shes coming from a verizon phone to at&t so it's a downgrade in service.

Re: Any Blackberry Users out there?

The 8830 is one of the best purchases I've ever made.

The only part I sometimes wish was available is a camera; other than that, it's a worthy investment.
