Happy with your order from DetailCity.com?

Hello folks,
Thinking about ordering about $400 in goodies from DetailCity.com, including one of those popular PC 7424 kits with Edge pads.
What are your experiences with this particular site?
This would be my first order from any of these online detailing suppliers. Sounds like many have been happy with Autogeek, Danase, Autopia... among others. However, I'm leaning towards DetailCity... at least on this particular order.

Thanks,
Pete

110% excellent customer service. You really can't go wrong with any of the stores above, they all great and carry great products. I've made many orders from DC.com, all with great service. Troy has some nice deals going on so capitalize on that as well.

ive never personally dealt with them but i have never heard a bad word about DC. ive heardplenty of praise.... last i heard though, troy was closing the store and basically selling off all the products and just keeping the forum going. so i guess they should have some great deals if thats really whats going on...

He decided to keep the store open but to limit the number of brands/products they sell to keep things more manageable.

Re: Happy with your order from DetailCity.com?

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I've added more items to my shopping list and am now realizing DC does not carry everything I want. Autogeek does. Therefore, I think I'll just order everything from AG. Since I'm spending well over $500 (even after applying the 10% discount to applicable items), I should also get free shipping from AG.

Wow! This new detailing passion of mine is getting expensive!

Why don't you try www.danase.com He's excellent at customer service, and he personally comunicates with his customers. Highly recomended!

You know, autopia is a pretty good place. This is their forum. They have it going in hopes the participants will patronize them. I bought my PC from them. Great service. Just a suggestion. :-)

My problem with buying from them is the same problem the OP has buying from DC, limited product variety. But I'd imagine that makes for a more manageable business.

This is exactly the problem I'm finding when shopping the other fine places like Autopia, Danase, DetailCity, etc... None (except Autogeek) seem to have everything I'm looking for, at least on this first big purchase.

Very true. This time around I just spent a little over $200 on products and supplies and wanted very badly to order from Danase (I'm all for supporting small business with customer service that goes above and beyond) but I was simply unable to find everything I needed. And with the exception of my ClearKote and Jeffs Werkstatt orders, I was able to find everything I needed at properautocare.com so there's where I spent the bulk of my money. My initial purchase was at Top of the Line, who offers a wide variety of products and has excellent customer service to go along with it.
