For Canadians - Vimy

I just returned from France on Wednesday and never felt more proud about our military history that is so often overlooked by the younger generations. If you guys missed the ceremony on Monday, I posted up a little vid which I found was the most touching moment of the ceremony.

For those not familar with the event, because us Canadians have never been too boisterous about their military acheivements you read can about it here:

Very true Ed, we are not ones to really brag about what we do. Did you attend the ceremonies? I think you meant to say "about our", their sounds like you are from another country.

Re: For Canadians - Vimy

Yes, I was in France for several of the ceremonies leading up to the main one on Monday. This was my 3rd time back to Vimy and everytime it brings back that little that chill in my spine and emotional attachment that this was the place that we became a nation under fire and blood and achieved what was deemed impossible by using ingenuinity and thoughtful planning, something that is still very evident in our armed forces today with a limited budget and resources.
