Re: What music download program are you using?

Frostwire is basically Limewire minus the paying for better connections.

Re: What music download program are you using?

I've used Ares for years now, like 4-5? Don't remember lol...never had any issues. I've found a lot of hard to find songs on there that had a hard time finding on Limewire. I have a couple hundred dollars in gift cards for I-Tunes....now just need to get an I-Pod lol.

Re: What music download program are you using?

utorrent and a torrent indexing site. I usually buy the album of artists I support, even though they don't make any money from the albums anyway (album companies rake up the profits, and artists are left in the cold).

I will never use a service like iTunes, since I find the concept of paying $1.00 for a flawed, lossy, compressed copy of a song ridiculous. For the same equivalent price, I can buy a full album from Amazon or half.com (which have the original, loseless version of the songs).

Plus, when I buy the album, I can do what I want with my music, exactly the way it should. The concept of paying $.99 for someone else to tell me what to do with my flawed copy of a song is just downright ludicrous!

sorry, had to vent...

But for individual songs, Ares seems to work OK. I don't keep it installed though, I quit using P2P programs a long time ago for the most part .
