My buddy is buying a used truck today and I want to make sure it is not been involved in any type of accident. He wont pay the money to get it checked, and I shure aint gonna pay the money!

tell him to buck up. I bought a used truck once and the seller lied about it being in an accident. I discovered it had been repainted on one side because it faded over time.

From a private party or dealer? If it's a dealer, they'll usually provide one if asked.

Haha, I noticed some damage to my car that wasnt on the carfax, so I would have to say they help but its almost better to look in all the dark and nasty places to make sure everything is where it should be.
