Re: Great M5 video!

the only sad part about the M5, that made me a "non fan" of it is the fact that it barely comes with a manual... only the ridiculous computerized manual thing they have. Plus, they have no way to way to completely disable traction control.

I guess its a nice car for what it is, but I wouldn't consider it a wonderful track or performance car. I'm sad BMW decided to cripple a sedan that's supposed to be at the forefront of BMW. I think a Z4M would be in order here.

you couldnt be more wrong. this is the older e39 which almost all were 6 speed manuals.the new e60 m5's had only SMG for the first year and this year they released the manual version which is slower than smg. on smg you can turn traction control all the way off, on manual e60's you cant do it completely. SMG is a performance transmission, it shifts faster than humans can, and doesnt screw up like humans do with moneyshifts and stuff like that

ive been up to 170 in this m5....it is indeed a performance sedan.

the video i have seen a hundred times and it never gets old...

I'd like to know where the cup of coffee went that she had between her knees. It mysteriously disappears.

M5's traction control 'off' switch nixed for a reason - Autoblog

Automobile gets a 6-speed M5. Better, but not great. - Autoblog

The point of a manual isn't speed, it's control. Once you drive manual you'll understand
