It really gets under my skin to see what this world is coming to. That people have this much disrespect for other peoples property.
Apparently the kid who did this "wanted to see the look on his face when he saw what happened to his car".
It's an oil based paint as well....
There's 26 pages that covers everything, and the kid eventually gets OFF on this as well...Pretty sad really... Check out what somebody did to my Z.... - MY350Z.COM Forums
Here are a few of the images for those who don't want to read the entire thing...

Thats how I'd roll. | |

Even after saying that, I'm on the kids side! I'd truly beat the vandal to a bloody pulp, or sue him for a new car. | |

1) Thug throws paint onto this kids car
2) Rumors obviously start flying to who did it (it's a Highschool)..and quickly find out who it is.
3) Reward is offered for anyone with info
4) Apparently there's a video that said thugs friend took, but friend got scared when it came time to cough up the tape.
5) Investigators confront the kid who did it, the first words out of his mouth were "I want a laywer".
6) Out of 50 people who actually saw the kid throw the paint on the car..Only 2 came forward (apparently in fear this kid would come after them)
7) Goes to court with kid, and apparently the kid actually GETS OFF, after one of the witness bails before the hearing and there is only 1 witness who comes forward saying he saw it. Apparently when investigators had first asked this kid about it, he said he didn't know anything, because he was scared of being beaten up, but apprently came forward later. Defense attorney jumped on this and apparently the witness was found "not credible".
8) Apparently the parents of the kid were total deadbeats (suprise). The kid's dad showed up to court with his son dressed like a gangbanger apparently.
Also regarding the kid having a modded 350z....I totally agree that a kid doens't need a car like that in highschool. Apparently his 2 sons (which both have moded 350zs) have been racing since the age of 7 and 8, and are quite responsible with them...

The 350z's owner made a good choice in not paying the kid back right away though. I had someone dent my car before, and I made the mistake of knocking him around pretty good, because of that I was unable to claim damages or he would have turned me in for assault.
However the kid who did it already has 20k in judgements pending against him for vandalism, etc. The real payback will come when he is unable to get a decent job because of his record and the state takes every penny that he makes at McDonalds.

The scumbag who broke into my Accord about 10 years ago, Nikolas Lampkin of Fort Worth still owes me about $50 restitution but being the lowlife loser he is, he ended up back in jail.

Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Huntington Beach, Ca. Posts: 262 | Re: Poor 350z (autopian nightmare) When I was in high school I went to school with a lot of extremely rich kids. The student parking lot had BMWs, a Hummer, some Mercedes, a couple of Mitsubishi Eclipses, Mustangs, etc etc. All of these cars were given to the kids brand new when they turned 16. This was back in 98. The majority of the cars that the kids drove were between 30 and 40 grand. None of these kids had to pay for their cars and took it for granted that their insurance, registration and gas were all payed for by their parents.
Being raised by a single mother there was not a whole lot of surplus cash floating around, so I worked after school and weekends and bought a 1991 Honda Accord Station Wagon from a nice old lady in my neighborhood for $4,000 when I turned 17.
It was a great deal.
I got made fun of a lot by the richer kids for driving the "welfare mobile". And I got in more than a couple fights about it. While I might not have had the money they did, I had a helluva lot more moxy.
With this in mind I can understand the motivation for the kid to splatter paint all over this rich kids car, while I have more self control than that, I can still understand how he felt, that doesn't mean I condone the action, far from it, but a teenager has no business whatsoever driving a modded $35,000 car. Period.
Does this mean that he deserved to have paint dumped on his car? Of course not, but if he had been driving a more appropriate automobile, (might I recommend a station wagon?), I doubt it would have caught this vandals eye in the first place.
edit: $35,000 is just for the car, I just had a peek at his upgrades and there is at least ten thousand dollars worth of audio parts and installation, and while I am more familiar with audio than I am engine, it appears at least an additional $15,000 in engine mods. With about another $10,000 in exterior, wheels and brakes. Lambo doors? Good lord.
