eh, squirrels at my campus are insane. They'll stare you down, make strange noises, and occasionally throw acorns down at the car, or even themselves (and leave those annoying tiny footprints and possibly scratches).

I hate squirrels.

If I can remember tonight I will post some pictures of this squirrel that was hanging with my wife and I one day. We went to a park to relax and fish one day last summer and this squirrel kept hanging around. I kept making noises with my mouth and it kept coming closer. My wife freaked out but I gave it a weight weight watchers cookie and it was my best buddy. It ate the whole cookie and then went up in the tree and laid down. I'll have to get the pictures, they are hilarious.

My dad used to feed this squirrel peanuts by their house, back when I was in college still and living at home, and my mom had to put a stop to that. The squirrel would follow my mom to her car and try and get in. One day I was laying in my bed watching TV and I heard this knock at the front door. I went to see who it was and it was the stupid squirrel jumping on the door. I had to feed him a peanut to get him to go away!

That's awesome! You definitely have to post those pics of the sqirrel eating the weight watchers cookie. I have kinda always found squirrels funny, which is why those video clips made me laugh. Just listening to those stupid voices with those little squirrel faces was enough for a good chuckle!

I enjoy the squirrel posts

My wife and I are big squirrel lovers, had a bunch of utterly tame ones at our previous house. Some of them knew their names and would come when called and a whole lot of them would take peanuts from our hands. Luckily for them the dog we had at the time was cool with them, never chased them or anything- we too had some that'd come to the doors/windows if they'd run out of food, the dog would sit there watching and it was like they were telling him to go get something for them to eat. I felt sorry for them when we sold the house, I didn't get the feeling the new owner appreciated them.

Those bastards ate their way through my neighbors clapboard siding and nested in his house. He had to replace the clapboards with vinyl and they just went one clapboard underneath and did the same thing! They went the WHOLE side of his home, one clapboard followed by the next one below! Nothing would stop them. Traps were set that enabled them to escape the house from their chewed hole but not re-enter. Well they figured out how and they came and went as they pleased!

The whole time I sat and watched this occur at eye level from my bedroom window. I should have taken pictures. If I still had my air rifle I would have picked them off. When I would wash my car I could see and hear them gnawing at the wood with little chips falling to the ground. Hopefully they ate the lead paint at the base of the clapboard.

2 days ago, I open my blinds and sitting on my front porch roof, whose pinnacle is right in front of my window, is a squirrel with its front paws pushing on my screen staring at me! I banged on my window and he didn't budge. He was INCHES from my face. My cats FREAKED out and were swatting the glass window trying to hit him and he just peered in at me and my two cats.

you, we had serious issues with raccoons and at least raccoon damage is covered by our homeowner's policy (squirrel damage isn't).

Heh heh, guess you wouldn't care for young squirrels getting down inside your polo shirt when you're feeding them, huh

At this house we get flying squirrels inside from time to time, they won't domesticate like the regular ones...hyper things too, but easier to catch than chipmunks. No, no, I'm not gonna get out the air rifle and zap them, I think they're cute...won't even let the cat get 'em if I can help it.

Yup, they're cute except when they start doing serious damage to your neighbor's home and then you see the little bugger 3 inches from your nose outside your window! Not my house mister!
