bunch of other nascar drivers. Earnharts were a$$es, chad little was really nice, as was jeff gordon. There is one driver that was the nicest, but I cant remember his name, wasent very popular. drove the "camel" and target car. Also detailed a lady's car that acted on "one tree hill"

My family is friends with the president of R.J. Reynolds (Lynn Beasely) and she always invited us to the races back when winston used to sponsor them and I always got to sit in the drivers trailers and get into the garages.

Funny you mentioned John Force. I was at the Detroit Autorama about 8 years ago. John Force was signing autographs and was scheduled to be on the other side of COBO Hall for an engine starting ceremony. Anyway, we grabbed some fries and headed to watch some stunt car thing. As we where walking from the food stand to the stage area I was plowed over and had the fried knocked out of my hand by John Forces security guys. I looked up and I was face to face with John Force and was like, "John Force ran me over!"

Bob, that made me think about the time I was in the Sony store. I was standing next to this guy that turned quickly and elbowed me. He began to apologize with some urgency. I then realized it was Wesley Snipes.

LOL Funny stuff. There are a few Detroit area celebs you see around here but I have never met any of them face to face.

Ok...I have been wondering since early in this thread what the definition is of "met" that some of you are using. Is it:

1. Saw up close
2. Interacted with (Do you want fries with that? Yes.)
3. Was actually introduced by name, etc.

I would only consider #3 to be having "met".

I met and mingled with the listed Lakers as my uncle went to school with Cooper. I was a lucky kid. I was introduced to and performed with Stevie Wonder.

I should also add the I held Vanity(one of Prince's women) in my arms. OK, she *was* pushed there by fans rushing in for the start of the show but that sure was a great feeling for a 17 year old!!
