How do you DESTRESS?!?!?!!?
My resolution this year is to learn how to properly manage my stress. Last year I got myself so stress out that I made monthly visits to my doctor and was placed on a ton of meds. I always felt like crap and just wanted to sleep. That really scared me because I am only 32, workout 3 times a week and eat pretty well. The stress at work came home with me and just caused chaos. I really need to learn how to get myself balanced between work and home. I've been thinking about reading some of the Dali Lama's books and take a class (T"ai Chi or Yoga). Do any of you take these classes or read any of Dali Lama's books? What do you do to destress? A vacation would be nice but not in the budget.

Re: How do you DESTRESS?!?!?!!?
Well I also de-stress by detailing...It's nice just to be out in the garage for hours. It's a temporary fix but shopping also works for me haha
Find what you love, and make time for yourself to do it!!

Not to be nosy or be an @$$, but considering that you're still fairly young and stay fit and in shape, do you have a wife or a girlfriend? How's your sex life? (the hand doesn't count)

Re: How do you DESTRESS?!?!?!!?
this is an easy one ...what makes you happy?
if it is the wife on my nerves I like to send some time wrenching or driving the car
if the car is the problem spend some time with the wife or one of my other cars
if work is really getting to me I will go shoot some skeet
but no matter what the problem a ride in a nice muscle car will clear
my head... you know 600+ Hp on 10" tire you really need to pay attention to
it or it will get ya

Excersize will do it. Detailing does it for me as well. When I detail I like to be alone and I just close the garage up and go to twon in my own little world.

Re: How do you DESTRESS?!?!?!!?
I de-stress by cleaning cars. Luckily it's my job, so I manage to be pretty stress free!

Definetly exercise, in specific, some kind of strenous exercise to get the blood flowing. You will feel good afterwards.

Re: How do you DESTRESS?!?!?!!?
Short term stress reliever = Punching bag (and by punching bag I mean annoying next door neighbor)
Detailing cars. (surprising how relaxing it is!!)
Long term stress reliever = Beach house in Fort Bragg California....aaaahhhhhhh
