Online Watch Retailer help...

Hey guys,

Anyone ever dealt with Jacob Time? The wife ordered a watch for me for Xmas and she is getting worried that it won't arrive in time for Xmas as she just found out that it wasn't in stock when she ordered it and they can't give a date when it will arrive. They did say they would notify her if it wasn't going to arrive in time for Xmas but that doesn't leave her any time to order it from somewhere else if for some reason it doesn't arrive in time. She is tempted to cancel the order but, the watch is already hard to find in stock anywhere. We are thinking that if we have to wait for a retailer to order the watch from Citizen that we might as well find a retailer we are familiar with????

What do you guys think? Anyone have any experience with Jacob Time? Can anyone suggest another retailer should we decide to cancel the order?

Never heard of or dealt with that company. If they don't have any in stock, I would cancel, as who knows how long it will take to retrieve one from their sources.

Looks in stock here... MA9040-52E, MA9040-52E, Citizen Hyper Aqualand, Citizen watches

I have dealt with CB in the past and they are fine by me.

The wife called Jacob Time some time after I did today and let them know that if the watch wasn't in by Monday she was going to cancel the order.

Thanks for the link Mike, she is going to call them on Monday to make sure they have one in stock...

On a side note, just got my original Citizen Hyper Aqualand back from Citizen today. They replaced the batter and did a pressure test. The wife got it for me on our first Xmas together 12 years ago. It is good to have it back.

I just ordered an ESQ from world of watches.com and was very satisfied. Great customer service and great prices. They warranty the watches since they are not an authorized retailer (like most internet discount watch stores) so the manufacturer warranty is basically useless.

Unfortunately it looks like they don't carry the Citizen Hyper Aqualand series though

Deffinately cancel... I had the same happen last month with another online retailer. They didnt have it in stock and didnt mention that when I ordered it, of course. After a couple phone calls and 20 days past while still not being shipped I cancelled.

Ive ordered twice from Bluedial.com and had great experiences both times. They are out of TX.
