That damage on that Porsche is absolutely consistent with speeds WAY over 100mph, not to mention the head trauma on the girl...Just goes to show you that physics takes NO prisoners.
Life is truly amazing. | ... Have you noticed something? All teenage drivers have to butt in with those kind of posts. "oh im 17 and i never drive recklessly and i never will!" "oh when i get a car i will drive in a good manner!" "not every teenager is like this!".... wow.

I'm 19 and I didn't think once of saying "I'm 19 and don't drive like that." It doesn't matter what age you are, there are always crappy drivers the same age as you.

The only mention of alcohol according to the OC Register was that it was found in the Honda Civic that she clipped, which was driven by a 20 year old male, but that was not the suspected reason for the accident, which implies that the girl was sober and the cause of the accident. | This is all over the automotive forums. I found the following 2 posts at the g35driver forum, and both appear to be legitimate. The first is from a police officer, and the second is from a friend of the girl who was killed: Ah yes...my sergeant was the investigator for this accident. Really unfortunate to hear. I live in the same community as the girl. Real upscale area with homes in excess of a million. It's common to see 18 yo's driving BMW, porsche, benz, etc..
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- to correct some assumptions about this accident: it was not her car, it was her dad's...she took it after getting into a fight with her parents and drove away as fast as she could...i know that is still no excuse for speeding - but THIS IS A LIFE that was ended in the blink of an eye. i knew her, and trust me there was a lot more going on in her short life than you will ever want to know... R.I.P. Nikki Mayo-Catsouras ... | |

Life is truly amazing. | By your name, you've got a 335i, and you're gonna tell me you've never driven above 60? Thats bullshizzle, dude, and you know it. Maybe if your mom was always in the car...If you've never driven above 60, why not get a 325i?
Absolutely horrific crash scene, heart goes out to the family, especially considering the story AND PICS of their daughters crash is all over the internet. So not only is their daughter dead, but they have a ton of armchair drivers criticizing the situation and the dead girl. | |
