Gotcha Frugle... yea, my experience is limited... I'd like to make that clear! I have had a few experiences with the current gen iPod and I really liked it.

I remember my friend lost all the music on his iPod Mini when he tried connecting it to his laptop (normally synced with his desktop). Something about by default it doing that (auto-update?). That would be annoying... although it can be disabled.

I love my iPod 30GB (video); the UI for iTunes is great imo, but it depends on what you're used to. Plenty of accessories for the iPods too -- not that there aren't any for other brands -- but if you need something chances are it's available for the iPods. Something to keep in mind if you'll be needing that type of thing...

Well I recieved my iPod yesterday and went to charge it and nothing happened. My fear was that the battery was dead and needed to be replaced. Went to Best Buy and got a new wall charger and everything works great now! Very nice unit!

Came loaded with 1,500 songs and 4 movies - I dont think I'll see a need for iTunes in a long time haha

- jasonmac, you are right about the accessories! They have anything and everything for them.
