Anyone want to sell a Nextel Phone?

I dropped my i860 in a pond the other day. I put it in the oven to dry it out and it works ok for a while and then it cuts off again. I know water is a nail in the coffin for nextels. I want the new i580 construction camera phone ( I love my camera), but at almost $300, it is a little pricey.

What do yall have, I would like one less than a year old or so.

Hey Brandon,

I would look on ebay or find a Nextel forum. I use to have nextel and bought the i860 pre-release for over $300 without a plan. Needless to say in a year it was busted up

Since then I switched to Verizon and was able to find a PDA forum where I purchased an i730 SmartPhone for $300 under retail and it was in brand new condition with a bunch of goodies. If you look hard you will eventually find a great deal, just use caution and common sense when dealing with people for large amounts of money.

I would be willing to spend up to $200-$250. Dealer says that b/c I havent had my phone for 2yrs, I only qualify for full price from a Nextel Authorized store. So even the cheap *670* is like $175.

Yea I wouldnt deal with nextel with trying to get a new phone when you are already in a contract. I just take out the SIM card and put it in the new phone I buy off ebay then have it activated. In the end you save lots of $$

yeah, I saw that forum. I am just a little nervous about buying a $200+ phone from someone I dont know.

I wasn't thinking so much about buying on there, more for the technical info. You really get a sense of the merits and faults of a phone by other members comments. Plus you learn about hidden features that your carrier may have disabled for one reason or another.
