truck tonneau cover....tundra

anyone have a good place to get one? do they come painted already? I have never owned one, but it would be better if I could go somewhere after a detail and not have to worry about my supplies still being in the back of the open truck when I get out from whatever....

what are the better ones? what options should I look for?

I've seen a lot, worked with a few, but never actually had one on my truck. I personally like the kind that you can get the hell out of the way if you want to. The hard covers that just raise up with hydraulic arms a little bit are pointless to me. To put in a bit load you have to go through the ordeal of removing and storing a giant piece of fiberglass. The kind that roll up or retract out of the way give you security, but allow your truck to be a truck too. I like the vinyl kind that have structure built into them. Those are cool because they get out of the way quickly, but still offer a measure of security. My father-in-law has one like this and if you have the tailgate closed and locked you can't get in because you have to trigger a little release on the cover from the inside. It's only vinyl though so still susceptible to someone who doesn't mind slicing their way in.

I've been very happy with my Gaylord http://www.gaylordslids.com/ . I like the low profile and being lockable, it keeps folks out. I can remove the lid (typically two or three times a year) in less than 5 minutes but it does take two people. Also, the truck seems more stable on the highway. I'm not sure if its the weight or the aerodynamics, but there is a very noticable difference at highway speeds.

I've got a soft Extang on my truck and love it. <$200 shipped off ebay. I originally wanted a fiberglass one, but after seeing my father-in-law's I decided not to. The fiberglass ones look better, but they're more expensive and are a pain if you have to haul anything.

The most popular one on the Ridgeline Forum is the REtrax. Pretty slick operation, but you do give up some bed space to the canister.
