Car wash with rain?

LOL, I saw an old man washing his car while it was raining. His left hand was holding a liquid Dawn soap and his other hand was holding a rag. the rain didn't do a good job rinsing off the soap off =P. just found it quite interesting and wanted to share

Was he using the rain water to mix with the soap? I guess he is making an attempt to help the planet?

When I lived in South Carolina, I did this a lot. Late afternoon, it wasn't uncommon for a light shower to blow in from off-shore. It was so hot in the summer, it felt good to do it in the rain (as well as keeping the car cool & wet). Do a normal wash & all and when it stopped raining, dry it off.
