Re: Treating myself to a new watch... help me pick which one to get.

I am looking into the Grand Seiko SBGR019 now.

I think I like it more than the Tag Heuer I was originally going to buy.

That GS SBGR019 is a lovely piece. What those photos don't clearly show is the additional detailing on the dial.

That's a nice watch, but I'm sorry...there is no watch worth more than maybe a hundred bucks. They all do the SAME THING.

Well I think that's like saying there's no difference between a Kia and a Ferrari. It's all about what's inside

True but I only need my watch to go from 0-60 in one time 60 seconds I guess I'll just stick with getting a Kenneth Cole watch and call it good. I can't afford these watches you playas haha

Right when I thought I had it nailed down... I find another that catches my eye.

Seiko Premier Perpetual Calendar. Only drawback to this one is its battery opperated.. but it is a really good looking watch.

Im at a standstill on this one... Im too new to this and I dont know if its worth it to go with a battery operated Seiko?.?.?.?

Why does the Seiko website suck so bad? I want to see all of the watches they make, but all they want to show you is the kinetic stuff.

Cause they figure most North Americans and Europeans are too lazy to wind or give their watches a workout. Most of the exotic mechanicals are in the asian market only.

Re: Treating myself to a new watch... help me pick which one to get.

Well... I decided it would be best to order a more expensive watch at a later date.

So I ordered a Seiko Superior to tie me over until then.

It comes with the Cal. 7S36, 23 Jewel movement and a Sapphire Crystal... so it is a little higher end than the regular 5's.

Nice! I just went ahead and ordered that Seiko Premier I posted above.

I now need some help finding a couple Seiko 5 watches.... having a hard time locating them.

SKZ025K

and

SKZ103

Thanks!

Re: Treating myself to a new watch... help me pick which one to get.

What's the word on Wenger watches?

Also, how about buying watches on Ebay? I found a really nice Tissot that I think my wife would like. The price is outrageously good, but it's in Singapore. I think I know the answer to my own question...caveat emptor.
