The electricity gods are after me!

At the risk of sounding paranoid ever get the feeling someone or something is out to get you? I now am firmly convinced the electricity gods have it in for me! About 10 days ago a transformer blew down the road which, of course, left us with no power. They fixed that within a few hours but a couple of hours later a heavy wind hit and a tree came down and snapped the same pole in half taking everything with it, no power, phone, or internet access. Now because of all the downed trees and brances the town gets involved and they have to first clear the debris after the power company shut down the feed. This, of course, took until the next day. It then took nearly the rest of the week for the power company, the phone company, the cable company to all do their jobs and wait for each other to do stuff before we had a semblance of normalcy here. We had intermittent power, phones, and internet the rest of the week. Finally everything was fixed and guess what? Another transformer blew up, quite spectacularly I might add, yesterday! We kept hearing loud noises and the power would wink on and off then finally a huge flash and fireworks show and everything went out. One of our dogs has a panic attack if the power just winks off and on for some reason so with all that he was shaking so badly he was vibrating like a pager. At least they fixed that one in about four hours so now we're keeping our fingers crossed! What next? A meteor?

Its what we pay for having so many beautiful trees around the island Today was crazy with the wind and rain, I just saw a 6 car fender bender on the meadowbrook parkway, tonight we'll find out who lost power on news12

Yeah but when you consider how cheap LIPA is, I mean can you really complain! LOL (That is alot of SARCASM). In all honesty you think with what LIPA charges they would be able to fix stuff quicker!
