I grew up on Long Island and now live in Georgia - I don't miss that weather at all. We are expecting our first frost tonight though. I turned off and drained my outside faucets last night just to be safe.

Hi from another West Michigan forum member.
Just curious, but do you know someone with a 2002/3 Grand Prix GTP who also happens to have a Black 96 Corvette Coupe?

I'm just down I-90 from Buffalo and almost sh*t my pants last night when I saw the snow and that it was sticking. I usually don't take my 18's off till around Thanksgiving and put on the winters.
That's life up here by the lakes though, once you get past September all bets are off.

I grew up in Lancaster, and I can't believe what a disaster this snow storm was. 22" of snow, 380,000 people without power, trees broken, power lines down. My parents lost a few trees, one fell on my dad's truck. Thankfully their power came on last night, but not before their sump pump overflowed in spite of them hand-bailing it.
Just one of many reasons I moved away!

Wow! I know what the weather is usually like in Buffalo in the winter from experience (though I'm from Western Mass.), but that still amazes me, especially as here in central Nippon it's still kind of hot (80s) and humid recently. We get cool, dry (finally!) 'fall' weather in November; that's when things start to resemble New England in terms of cool, pleasant weather, beautiful foliage, clear blue skies .
