Help With Paint

My buddy bought a sports bike and the guy was getting ready to repaint all the fairings. They need it badly. What is the most forgiving color for an Amateur to paint? Is it silver, Green, Yellow? Also are there any links to a guide on how to paint online?

Can't help with the painting advice, but see if Eastwood has any tips (they specialize in such DIY stuff).

IMO silver would *not* be a good choice...metallics are tricky in general and silver shows painting defects pretty badly. I somehow think that yellow might be a pretty forgiving color, everything considered.

White is ok but it doesn't make for the best bike color. Flat black is super forgiving and looks kinda cool on a sportbike, however it gets scuffed easily. Any solid should be ok. Is this his first bike? If so, save the painting till he's had it for a year. It WILL end up on its side. Also if it doesn't have them, get some frame sliders.
