Yankees suffered the scariest thing for any team going into the post season, its called "cooling off!". If I owned the team I would say goodbye to Sheffield, Arod, Johnson, Pavano, Wright and maybe even Mussina.

And every other team in major league baseball would be tripping over each other to sign them for huge money.

I'll have a good time tomorrow morning while washing my car listening to rabid Yankee fans go bonkers on the sports radio programs. If you aren't from the area; nothing beats listening to "Vito" from Brooklyn call in a and give his $.02. There's nothing like it.

Sadly, I'm disapointed. Everyone played poorly. They couldn't hit for !@#$.

I'm enjoying watching the Mets even though I'm a Yankee fan. It'll be nice to see them move on in the playoffs. They put together a solid team with one of my favorite managers in Willie Randolph, the former Yankee. They deserve it.

Oh well. It'll be interesting watching the Yankees moves in the offseason and what becomes of A Rod as he'll be the scapegoat.

He and Joe Torre both. How is Torre going to explain to Steinbrenner why he can't get to the World Series with the players he has.

Just a final point...Reggie Jackson had a terrific career, well over 500 homers but what is he remembered for? Mr. October.

I thought this was pretty funny...

Of course I can see it now. No one will even mention the fact that the Yankees got beat by a better team. Everyone will blame ARod, or say the Yankees beat themselves.

Detroit flat outplayed the Yankees. Better pitching, clutch hitting, etc. Plus, Detroit has Pudge. I wish he was still in a Ranger's uniform.

Most likely nothing will change in New York next year, well at least with the big lineup, but **** happens.

Torre is gone with Sweet Lou coming in. That was the talk this morning all over NY radio. After 10 years, it's time for Torre. With a $200 million payroll, he's failed over the past few years in the playoffs. Division championships aren't good enough.

Playing Sheffield at all, let alone at first base was the dumbest move. And why Bernie Williams sat on the becnh was beyond me. Talk about choking, forget A Rod, Sheffield was 1 for 12. He's gone next year.

I think you'll see A Rod wave his no trade clause and get shipped out for some young, quality pitcher to replace Mussina who may be gone. We're stuck with Randy for another year. Rivera isn't getting any younger too.

I wish we had the spirit and fire and sense of team from the likes of Paul O'Neil. He was my favorite Yankee. He's a Yankee's announcer so it is cool to still see him give commentary evey night.

Pitching wins ball games. Hopefully we'll get a good one or bring someone up from the farm like another Chien-Ming Wang.

Oh well, at least my NY Giants won today.

Yeah the Giants won that was great.

I can't believe they are getting rid of Torre He's got one year on the contract, I say he's earned that last year and he should be given it.

On your last point yeah we definatley need some pitching. Preferably some young pitchers that don't know well enough to be scared lol Unfortunately we gave away a lot of the farm to get these overpriced numbnuts
