I hate Walmart. I shop there as little as possible also. I laugh at them because they decided to put a store up just a couple miles from me. We're in a middle/upper middle class area, and the store was put across the street from rival Meijer. So far Wally World isn't doing very well there.

I heard that they secretly financed the coup in thailand, that way they can enslave a whole nation for cheap labor, so they can enslave this nation with cheap prices.

BEWARE THEY are the tri-lateral commission/illiuminatie.

My point is, it's mostly crap. Made up half lies half truth. Take the movie, So this guy makes a movie by talking to disgruntled former employees and currently disgruntled workers. Very much the way the nit witt who made fharenhiet 911 did.

I'm not in a way defending them, I haven't shopped in a walmart in nearly 12 years. I am however skeptical of a movie financed by a Political action committee like moveon.org.

I had NO clue you were making reference to the movie at all. Simply wasn't clear. If the above had been the post it would have been much clearer.

I know from a Walmart employee that was well paid that they're DIRTY! She quit even though she didn't have another job lined up.

At the present time and people like our parents, absolutely not.

But will this "discount" still exist down the road when your (our) only source of prescriptions is WW?
Short-term losses equal long-term gains for WW.

Speaking of Thialand. A major source for low priced seafood is Thialand and other SE Asia countries. This is destroying the Shrimping American industry.

And I know people who have worked for them for years, that dispute that. What does it prove, nothing as it is at bes anecdotal.

I find it hard to believe that a company as big as Walmart is paying that high of a price for the DVD's that they buy.

...and when I worked the "9 to 5" that I did, I wouldn't have told you about the dirt that went on there either. Her info goes hand in hand with what the low level workers are and have been experiencing. She was one to be carted around on the corporate jet and whatnot.

Associate discontent is well documented at Walmart. Two examples is the ongoing sexual discrimination cases and the indirect pressure against unionization.

Corporate welfare is also exploited by WW and many other companies by extending employment to the elderly but still requiring them to use their Medicare as their primary heathcare buyer.

The key to some of the price difference is the lack of packaging and distribution costs. The rest is well... Not *everybody* has an iPod that is capable of viewing movies. When it comes down to it there truly isn't that large a number of people for Wal-Mart to be worried about.
