I'd have left it.

I had something like that on my car a few months ago, but at least I was involved in leaving the impression. Of course, being an Autopian the print didn't exactly show up like on the dusty hood, but it made me grin.

Unfortunately I had to clean it off fairly soon, didn't want to cause emotional damage to our kids.

Reminds me of my favorite bumper stick ever, seen on a car driven by a hot brunette:

Yeah, I should've mentioned that I've seen that before, too. Some guy from Russia uses it for his avatar on another forum. Love the picture though. Wife got a kick out of it too.
