i was puting my business cards on door windows today (ya know between the glass and rubber rain guard?) and later in the day this kid (20ish) and says "are you the owner of this business?" "yes" I replied "so are you going to be able to get the scratches off of my door from where you put the cord today?" i told him to bring it in and i'd be more than happy to get them out for him if he brought me the car, and knowing darn well that a scratch on his door from ME was imposible. he started to agree when i told him how much it would cost to do a scratch removal and explained that it wasnt my fault. PUNK KIDS

yeah but why would he lie about it ? if it was scratched it would be kinda obvious.. dunno man.

That's just the price you pay when you resort to this type of advertising. I'm not picking on you here but my feeling is very simple. I don't touch your car, you don't touch mine and no matter how good you believe your reason for doing so it isn't good enough for me! I don't care if someone thinks they're careful or not don't put it on my car. This type of advertising makes many people angry with whom ever happens to distribute them.

Stepping down from soap box now. Can you tell I really don't like this type of advertising?

I agree ^^. What makes me angry is people who touch or defile my car (with litter) without my telling them it's ok, just so they can make a buck. That gets my goat. My car is not a mail box, contrary to what some think. It's quite simple...if I don't bother others stuff, they shouldn't bother mine.

I'm all for the guy that stands in the parking lot and offers to hand me an advertisement. If I don't want it I can say no. Most of these cards or flyer's end up as parking lot litter. I know that there are a number of people that believe this type of advertising is very effective. I can honestly say they've never received a dollar from me. I would like to put it back on their car, tied to a brick!

I think I'd be insulted if I had a card for a detailer placed on my car! Also, the insulted feeling would come after the (afore mentioned) anger over people touching my car subsided.

wow alot of bitterness here about this. guess ill think of something else. i am just starting out and it would be helpful if i recieved some better (inexpensive) ways to go about it then. sorry to dissapoint you all.
