I just saw this video and would not blame the owners of the vehicles that were trashed for defending themselves. I have been in some of the rougher neighborhoods in Chicago and they don't even act like that.

That's just it, because we have concealed carry rights, it wouldn't have happened in Utah. I've heard that 20% of Utah's population have CFP's (concealed firearm permits). That number may seem high but there is the another 60% of the population who don't bother with a permit and still own a firearm. Many of those firearms are in vehicles. Don't get me wrong, we still have punks here in Utah. I do however believe somebody would have gotten hurt if that had happened here and that hurt being inflicted may not have come from the owner of the car being vandalized. When a criminal is in the middle of enough law abiding citizens, that may be in possesion of a firearm he has to think twice before doing something like this. After all morality dictates that we should stick up for the victim of a serious crime.

Wow. Not too much I can say that hasn't already been said. Except this makes me sick! When I'm downtown on 2nd. on a Friday/Saturday night better believe I watch my back. Even though I never do anything I have seen crouds like this here MANY times do similar things and the Police here as alot of cities would, just let them go and push the croud out of the way. Oh, but if the Police get hurt in this situation they MIGHT arrest you but still cautious of being labled as "Targeting Minorities". As I'm more than positive this happpens more than we see on the news/paper and nothing ever comes of it. Sickening. Absolutely pathetic. Bleh.

I also can't believe no one ran any of them over. One thing I just remembered is that this happened in the peoples republic of cailfornia. They are very strict about issuing carry permits there.

my thoughts exactly. I am not big on guns, but watching something like this sure makes me want to carry one on me. I wouldn't have hesitated running over someone to try and get myself and my family out of there. I wouldn't have a single ounce of remorse if any of those idiots died.

Yeah, I wouldnt doubt it. And of that 50%, about 0% are probably legal to own them. I definitely support concealed carry of a firearm, but it may be better to just let that one slide and leave without getting hurt; however, if I were put in that situation, I dont know how I would feel. I mean those drivers must be scared out of their mind. If it gets to the point where I feel like it's me or them (and I had done NOTHING to provoke them)....I would act appropriately. I don't understand how anyone could be so hostile. Case in point, we need more GOOD guys with the means to defend themselves.

GEE, I thought we were all like brothers now and there was no need for such prehistoric behavior, and we were able to sit down together and talk out problems like human beings.
Is this a sign that there is still a "Pack" type ignorance associated with some ethnic groups that cause problems in the USA or where ever. I am at a loss to explain the behavior of people in this video, and really believe there should be a study to see what ethnic group was involved, if any! If, there is a ethnic problem (doubtful), we should just overlook it, until we can determine the reasons like we have been doing forever.
This type of behavior would give the government a chance to impose a few more restrictions on native residents. That would definitely calm down all this tension relative to resident Americans thinking they have some sort of protection relative to any Constitutional agreement that was written in regards to our country.

Anyone know the difficulty in getting a concealed weapon permit in Georgia? I'm going to get one for my truck, but concealed seems like a better option.
