18-55 ef-s
50mm f1.4
tamron 28-75 f2.8 (sold)
canon 70-200 f4
canon 300 IS f4 (sold)
Canon 580 ex flash with stoffen omni bounce
giottos 9180 tripod
Markins m10 ball head

The first pic is a 14 image stitch of seattle from admiralty point.

next down is chuckanut drive 7 image HDR render

the falls is a 3 image blend/hdr

the one with the crystal reflecting lake is Coldwater lake. It's a 7 image hdr take with the 10-22 ef-s. there are two little fishermen on the lake and a couple walkin on the board walk.

The cheetah pics are canons 70-200 f4L

Ranier:

the falls is another 7 image HDR

The picture of mount rainier is a 7 image stitch from the parking lot of all places.

Snoqualmie falls

the first 3 images are wide angle shots with the ef-s 10-22 lens. You can see the perspective distortion.

The next shot is a 140 image stitch, yes, 140 image stitch. full resolution is over 100k pixels wide and 60k pixels tall. file size is about 3.7 gigs when saved as a tiff. about 11 gigs when saved as a psd.

the next shot is acctually my first attempt at that mosaic the day before at the same time of day. It is a 70 image stitch. It has alot more issues than the 140 image stitch.

Here is an idea of the real size of some of my mosaics and panorama's.

I'll link it. this is a huge image and I had not finished the blending on purpose. so it wil take a long while to load.

http://www.pbase.com/dsgrouse/image/60714198/original

here is the pre crop of the 140 image mosaic stitch of snoqualmie falls.

I like your pictures. Out of curiosity, why'd you sell the Tamron?

Well I never used it. If I wanted the tamron its big selling point was the fast lens. My 50 f1.4 was as sharp has more contrast and vivid colors. The 50 also has a buttery smooth bokeh. I usually find for any outings I am using the 70-200, or the 50. If I am doing wide angle stuff on the 20d the 28mm of the tamron was not cutting it. This would cause me to grab the 10-22 ef-s. It seems odd but such a perfect lens was never out of the bag.

My only real issue was the muted colors, the tamron had very good contrast. It was very sharp. But every other lens I had represented the colors so much better. When post processing the tamron I had to up the saturation way to much for my liking.

I paid 275 for it used. I sold it to a gentleman for 325. He tried it out, tested it and pronounced it the finest example he had found for his 5d.
