Dreamweaver Question

Im looking into purchasing the Macromedia Studio 8 off from ebay..And they have the Academic/Student version for under $400...For now I just want to play around with it and get use to it again..I use to use it all the time. But further down the road if I decide to design my own website and want to host it...will I be screwed with the academic version or could I still do it? Thanks in advance!

--The reason Im so gung-ho about getting my hands on it to refresh my skills is because today I finally registered my own domain name for my future detailing site..somewhere down the road

I just found the Studio 8 brand new from Adobe, student version only $300..it says upgrades can be purchased to convert it to a commercial version?

Technically, academic versions are just the full versions of the same software.

Some of them come with time limits, but otherwise student versions tend to be exactly the same. Some of the more legit sellers will require proof that you're actually a student (like a university email address).

Well as of tonight..I am the new owner of the Macromedia Studio 8 Suite...Regular $1,000: I recieved it for $279, $20 two day shipping for a grand total of $299.00

I ordered the product off from journeyed.com which gives *huge* discounts to currently enrolled students, alls you need is proof of enrollment. I recently recieved a $1,000 scholarship for a paper writing contest I entered and won. Made out in my name, this scholarship will cover the cost of this program suite and my books for next year. I am very grateful for this scholarship...I have always loved web design ever since I took a dual enrollment course at a local college when I was a sophmore in high school. Starting with plain coding all by memory, it will be amazing to have Studio 8 at my fingertips for those nights when I get bored or those summer days when Im outside tanning haha - I plan on experimenting with the program until I get comfortable with it..designing my own website for my part-time detailing gig...and by this fall if I am comfortable enough with it...I am going to search for an intership through my college at a local web design company. If anyone cares to read the paper I wrote for my scholarship just shoot me a pm.

- - Anyone else here currently using Studio 8 or Dreamweaver care to shoot me a pm or list some websites they have created with the program or their expierences...any books good for reference.
