I believe only Verizon uses a different type of SIM card. All other providers use the same, so it should work.

It will work just fine I have a friend who has a cingular phone with a T-mobil sim card. He had a buddy who worked for cingular who unlocked the phone for him. I'm not sure if they will do it for you but mabe you can get an employee who's willing to do it for a few bucks on the side.

Hmmm, that's a little on the high side as I know places in town here will do it for $15.00 and it takes about 5 minutes. In the future try this site and do it yourself. I did it with one of my phones. You can also do a search on the internet for unlocking cell phones as there are several sites. Some free and others for as little as $5.00:

I just unlocked one of my phones last week. There's all kinds of websites, tools, etc. on the net that will give you the unlock code.

The beauty of going with Verizon - they disable all the cool features of the phone. I wonder if that phone unlocking stuff can make my phone have all the cool features.
