Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 6,137 | anyone know where to go to unlock cell phone? i just recieved a brand new cell phone that is from t-mobile (dad and sister decided to go with verizon), and was wondering where i should go to unlock it, so i can use it (i use cingular). any idea where to go, how much, what is should be aware of, and the cheapest place to do it? thanks!  | |

He had a buddy who worked for cingular who unlocked the phone for him. I'm not sure if they will do it for you but mabe you can get an employee who's willing to do it for a few bucks on the side.

In the future try this site and do it yourself. I did it with one of my phones. You can also do a search on the internet for unlocking cell phones as there are several sites. i didn't mine paying that much, as i just wanted to have a new phone. i had my previous phone for 3 years, and just wanted a change. thanks for your reply, i'll keep this in mind for the future!  | |
