Patrick, that's purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria) in your pic, an exotic invasive species of wetland areas. It's a pretty plant, but the best thing to do with it is pull it out of the ground before it completely takes over the wetland. I've worked with that plant in the past, and it's a b*tch to get rid of once it becomes really abundant in the area. http://www.issg.org/database/species...3&fr=1&sts=sss

Wow that is a pic that can really bring out some emotions. can't say much other than let us never foget that day  . thanks for sharing that one. had a friend lose his dad that day and can not imagine what he goes through on 9-11. | |
