I would knock on your neighbors' doors and ask them if they can hear all the excessive noise in their units as well. If they can, you all can go up to the problem tenant's door and ask to have a little community meeting- advising them that you all have to live in the same building and they are overstepping their boundaries.

If that proves inadequate two more complaints sounds like it will work. Just keep your property on lock-down while they get evicted!

I dunno...maybe it's just me...but if this guy knows you're pissed off at him, he'll know you were the one who called the cops on him...

In my book that grounds for retribution.... (if he doesn't go to jail)

Either move out, place an anonymous call from a PAY PHONE telling the cops that they are dealing drugs out of the apartment and you suspect more than just that or confront him like a man and tell him of your displeasure with the situation...

On a side note, as a pot smoker myself, I would be quite pissed if my neighbors called the cops on me just for that.....but I do have a private house so this is not an issue...

G35stilez will become famous soon enough
NT2SHBBY: Some of my friends smoke as well. Personally, it doesn't bother me terribly in a social atmosphere even though I pass. However, twice in the matter of a couple days, broad daylight, both of our cars and garages were open. My car is a cop magnet enough, I don't need extra attention drawn to it, ya know ?

The past two night have been like a library. I will see how the rest of the week goes, but just to re-affirm; every time I see him, I am always polite. I don't see a need in getting worked up over something like this...that's the police department's job if need be.

I'd say you're actually lucky that your lease has a specification about noise and three complaints means they get evicted... I've lived next to a guy who plays drums until 3 am for about four years now.

I've complained to the land lady... asked him not to etc. etc. Some people are just simply jerk-offs and don't care about or respect boundaries.

The only thing I haven't done is called the cops... although it does cross my mind often.

If I were you... two more well-placed complaints and your troubles are over.

Drums until 3 a.m. for four years and you haven't called the cops? This may be a dumb question, but what the hell are you waiting on??

I literally had to read that twice and check your location to double check if you were talking about my annoying idiotic neighbors. Husband, wife, early 20's, along with a 21 year old ex -convict brother of the wife, 3 kids (5, 2, infant). These idiots scream and yell when they are outside. They smoke outside their door after I asked them not to because the breeze blows the 2nd hand smoke through the open windows. Lets their stupid wild kids play outside(baseball) right on the lawn, likes to congregate with friends and relatives outside the house or most recently in the garage.

Just like your situation, "tattoo parlor" in the garage. I could never figure out what that buzzing sound was when I would be detailing in the garage. The husband cusses on ever other word and smokes right in front of the infant. These people think they own the neighborhood. They have got to be the most annoying, idiotic, disrespectful people I have ever seen. The convict brother just wanders around and hangs out all day. He likes to "check my car out" when I drive by. Makes me want to pull the trigger right between his beaty lil eyes.
