Ive been maried for 3 years so Im not under as much pressure as those of you who are still dating, but.... Given the building of the new house, etc we have to be a bit careful with money right now. So can anyone suggest something cool and different to do for V-day for say $100 or less? Theres always roses, or dinner and a movie but its so typical and not creative.

Agreed. Hard to go wrong there.
Things I've learned from the past with my gf are the little things count a lot too. Have the house clean when she gets home, laundry done, kids/animals tended to. Candles going, dinner cooking/ready, dessert and drinks to follow. The simple stuff that she might do usually, have all done for her. Flowers don't hurt at all, neither does some background ambiance music.

I always save the flowers/gifts for other "non-cliché times" throughout the year. It's better for both of us in the long run since I won't be raped on the price of flowers and she will get an unexpected surprise.

Ill look around tomorrow (yep a bit late, but we have been ofcused on our one dog who will have to be put to sleep in the next couple of days ) I think I could get a 1 hour massage GC for around $60-70 and then cook dinner too.

I'm finally down to peanut butter smidgens, a scented candle, and a card. But it took a long time, I started WAAAAAAY too high.
