Anyone from Delaware?

My wife and I have been considering a possible move from South Jersey to Delaware because of a possible job offer. When we priced out houses online we were blown away by how much house you can get and how low the property taxes are. We are unfamiliar with the area and would like to find a great area to raise kids. We are looking in the $275,000-$350,000 range (depending on the salary offer). The area must have a really good school system. Can anyone help guide our search? Thanks

I don't live in DE, I actually live in SJ like you. But I have looked into DE in the past. DE has low property taxes, because their school system isn't good. I think if you really want to move to DE, you should look into private schooling for your kids.

But again, I'm no expert, just wanted to let you know what I know.

I questioned how good their schools could be based on their low property taxes. How can they fund schools properly with such low property taxes? We're going to drive down this weekend to check it out. Thanks for your input.
