Or, extract and process it from Canada with the world's second largest proveable oil reserves after Saudi Arabia. Or, crank up the drills in Alaska.
Plus, I think that sticker was more of a joke given that most rational folks don't believe that. Similarly, I see plenty of what you call "Yeah, uhm, no" bumper stickers from the opposite extreme of the spectrum.

I looked at investing in a side drilling company a couple years ago. They operated in the Dead Sea and would drill across borders to tap into oil fields they really shouldn't be. I watched them for a few months, then one day they disappeared. Glad they didn't have my money!  |
