Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Charleston, WV Posts: 154 | I've never even visited another detailing forum. I came here from Miata.net (another civil forum) and see no reason to go elsewhere. I can ask about what to use on my car, and get a dozen different ideas without someone pushing their favorite product down my throat. I like that.
I don't have to ask many questions if I search the forums a little. If I do ask a question, I know I won't have some heckler giving me a hard time. Just good suggestions from good people. That's why I don't go anywhere else.

He was a moderator here at autopia and helped build a lot of the structure you see here today. He was not banned, but resigned and left the forum for reasons of his own.

It's more of a melting pot than some...less than objective...forums. And this isn't limited to detail forums--detail subforums on certain boards can be a great place for biased information due to "forum sponsors" and unknowing members. Sigh.

They hated me enough when they were here-definitely product related!

Even though I found a lot of the postings from many of the members there to be informative when they posted here, I didn't really care for their online personalities. I don't really care for iTough Guys.
I used to post over at DC but was treated like a child by the owner and I have a dad already so.....
I still post at MOL but spend the majority of my time here where a few of you hate me.
