Can we do bigger avatars?
I'm wondering if we could change the forum to include larger avatars. It's awefully hard to create one under the current size guidelines...
Is this a reasonable request or suggestion?

I'm personally unsure. David or PrinzII would know about that kind of stuff better than me. If it's a possibility, it can be a consideration during the forum upgrade. It is coming up soon.

Sliver, I'll mention this to David and see what he says.

One of the boards I go to allows 150 x 150 sized avatars. Of course, that site also runs 5 servers with 8 gigs of memory!

I don't like large avatars. They take up too much space on the page.

I don't like larger avatars... Some of us are still running dialup I know I could just block all avatars, but those pictures are how I know who's who. Having to look at the names would suck

If you can get broadband in your area, it is worth the cost over dial-up. On dial-up, I could download videos at around 3.75kb/sec. On a 6 mbps broadband connection, I get stuff at around 780kb/sec, which is around 200 times faster. Sure it is $42 vs $19 but time is money, right?
BTW, if you download the Opera browser, it loads pages more quickly.

One of the best things about this site is how the sigs and avatars are kept in check. Sometimes when other car forums are linked here I am just overwhelmed with what seems like banner ads that I then realize are sigs and avatars. Leave it as it is.

I'm certainly down with a slightly larger avatar. I think the sigs need to stay text only though.
