Apple has releases a new set of earbuds that come with a radio antenna for $49.
I have been playing with this for an hour and the sound quality is surprisingly decent on FM. The middle of the headphone set has a volume and station control which is even more cool.
What's cool is that an analog/digital radio readout is included in the new Version 1.1 iPod Updater so no extra software is required.
For those with a 5th Generation iPod who want radio listening capability, this is a neat solution.
Headphones are similar to the new iPod ear buds so it's not quite audiophile quality but decent enough for radio listening.
I will play around some more and try to get a feel for station selectivity...highly recommended and affordable iPod enhancement imho.
Good idea for my son's birthday next month. He and his iPod are inseperable! This way, he can also listen to his campus radio station.
