I do think he should have had wheel locks though. My wheels and tires were only $730 shipped, but I got a set of wheel locks too just for peace of mind.

I'd get some aftermarket ones for less or full on racing wheels for the same price. Wheel locks wont really help that much, I have a friend that works at a tire shop and he said you can buy a whole wheel lock key kit for like $40 and then you can take off any wheels you want. Its a deterent though, got them on mine. | |

At least he still had the factory wheels in his shed. It really is almost not worth it to have nice stuff anymore.
